About the Living Lab

Eber-Lat Living Lab is an organization and spiritual chevre dedicated to the dual prongs of Earth-Based Torah and the emerging Maggidic Paradigm.  On the surface these may seem like disparate points of focus, but just as maggidus grew up out of our ancient earthy shamanic roots, in the coming age, a return to our indigenous Earth centered wisdom paths will grow and flourish through the maggidic process and ways of being.  Thus, the Living Lab labors to bring the Aboriginal, Earthy, Shamanic Hebrew wisdom tradition into the light  AND we labor to support and strengthen the path of the maggid, and the paths of the maggidic process, bringing a liveable Judaism to today’s people.

The Living Lab comprises several individual projects, each of which represents a different spoke on the maggidic wheel, transforming and evolving the Jewish experience of individuals and communities throughout the Diaspora and Eretz Yisroel. In our incubating stage, through projects like Moshav HaAm, we have sponsored four maggidic conferences; trained and empowered several maggidic practitioners, each of whom is now doing fantastic work of their own; provided teaching and mentoring resources to rabbis, teachers and individuals in the field; and engaged in invaluable networking and peer-work amongst the younger generation of teachers and leaders emerging in the Jewish community.

Now, as we mature into an above ground non-profit entity, we continue this work through:

Torah M’Aretz, the Earth-Based Torah wing of the Living Lab, offering research/development, teachings and workshops in the Aboriginal Hebrew Tradition across North America and Israel

The Maggidic Field School, training populist teachers and spiritual leaders for the Jewish community

The Jewish Folk School, an in-town populist teaching center making the Tradition accessible to people in ways that relate to their everyday lives

ERUV, the Journal, a chevre journal promoting dialogue, peer support and cross-pollination in the growing maggidic community

The “Krakkus Heksher”, a new trans-denominational heksher being developed which will promote a full, holistic and responsive approach to Halacha and Minhag, Jewish law and custom, liberating the Jewish experience to be vibrant and alive while holding to the bottom line and spirit of the tradition

And, new this year– offering the new, ground-breaking Two-Year Certification Course in Earth Based Torah.
